A simple way to get more tomato plants from the ones you’re already growing.

1. Find a Healthy Sucker: Look for a strong shoot growing between the main stem and a branch.
2. Snip It Off: Cut a healthy sucker that’s several inches long using clean scissors or pruners.
3. Remove the Lower Leaves: Leave a few leaves at the top and remove the leaves from the lower part of the stem.
4. Put It in Water: Place the stem in clean water, keeping the remaining leaves above the water.
5. Wait for Roots: Keep it in bright, indirect light and change the water as needed. Wait until a good set of roots develops.
6. Plant It: Once it has a good set of roots, plant it in a pot or directly in the garden.
7. Keep It Watered: Keep the soil moist while your new tomato plant gets established.
That’s it! One tomato plant just became another. Repeat with more suckers and keep multiplying!
